In today's world a knowledge of Science is essential. A study of science equips students with skills and strategies of critical thinking, observing, communicating and researching.
Scientific knowledge involves careful, disciplined investigative work as well as making bold leaps of imagination and intellect, following hunches, inventing meaning and taking risks.
Years 7 - 10
The study programme for Years 8, 9 and 10 contains five strands of major learning areas:
- Earth and Beyond
- Energy and Change
- Life and Living
- Natural and Processes Materials
- Science and Society
Years 11 and 12
Students in Years 11 and 12 can choose from the following subjects:
- Earth Science
Free after school tutorials are held every week. Times are outlined in the Assessment Planner, which is provided to students at the start of each semester. It is also available for download from this website.
