In 2013, Townsville Grammar School will present The Servant of Two Masters, a comedy by Venetian playwright, Carlo Goldoni, adapted by Nick Enright and Ron Blair, directed by Head of Performing Arts, Ms Fiona Perry. Originally written in 1743, the story is a cross between the traditional Italian “commedia dell’arte” and postmodern vaudeville. This classic promises plenty of laughter as it pits the madcap servant Truffaldino against masters, mistresses, lawyers and lovers… not to mention the 27 plates of meatballs.
