The Servant of Two MastersSchool Productions are held every two years. Productions involve many students acting, singing, playing in the orchestra, front of house, backstage, costuming, make-up and every other facet of theatrical life. The level of professionalism of this event is a source of great pride for the whole School community.

This year, Townsville Grammar School presented Ring Round the Moon, on the 14-16 May at the Riverway Theatre.  The story is set during a ball in the wintergarden of a French chateau presided over by the wealthy aristocrat, Madam Desmortes (Grace Burden). She has identical twin nephews. Frederic (Rory Allen) sensitive, shy, kind-hearted and engaged to a rich heiress, Diana (Julie Reilly) and his cold-hearted, twin brother, Hugo (Jacob Karlsbakk). Hugo knows his brother's marriage would be a disaster and hires a beautiful but impoverished ballet dancer, Isabelle (Rose Ioannou), to be the belle of the ball. Unfortunately the beautiful ballerina falls for Hugo, which is only the beginning of the complications to be disentangled before the night is out.

Middle School Production

Students across Years 7, 8 and 9 were recently involved in the Middle School Drama Concert.
Lots of hard work and rehearsals ensured that three polished productions were enjoyed by audiences.Monty Python’s Spamalot, Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Roald Dahl’s Matilda were all vividly brought to life with relatively few props. Students are to be congratulated for the dedication and hard work displayed in the lead up to this event.
