School Productions are held every two years. They are a dynamic tribute to the expertise and devotion of the Performing Arts Faculty within Townsville Grammar School. Productions involve hundreds of students and staff acting, singing, playing in the orchestra, front of house, backstage, costuming, make-up and every other facet of theatrical life. The level of professionalism of this event is a source of great pride for the whole School community.
In 2013, Townsville Grammar School presented The Servant of Two Masters, a comedy by Venetian playwright, Carlo Goldoni, adapted by Nick Enright and Ron Blair, directed by Head of Performing Arts, Ms Fiona Perry. Originally written in 1743, the story is a cross between the traditional Italian “commedia dell’arte” and postmodern vaudeville.
