Principal's Welcome

From Mr Richard Fairley

Welcome to Townsville Grammar School. I trust that your visit to our website will be informative and will encourage you to find out more about a school that is committed to enabling young people to grow and develop as both scholars and citizens.

Townsville Grammar School is where young people, irrespective of their innate abilities, can aspire to achieve their personal best. The School motto Bonus Intra Melior Exi, "come in good and go out better" is a guiding philosophy in our approach to the academic, sporting, cultural and character development of all Grammarians who pass through the School. Grammar enjoys a remarkable culture of respect and achievement and this is reflected in its well-deserved pre-eminent status as an educational institution in North Queensland.

At Grammar, the rhetoric of student learning outcomes is matched by the reality of our unrivalled academic excellence in North Queensland.

Townsville Grammar School currently enjoys a planned phase of physical development and yet has not lost sight of its core values and commitment to a broad liberal education. At Grammar we are proud of our 125 year plus heritage dating back to 1888.

If you are a prospective member of the School community please contact us for further details. If you are a Past Grammarian and would like to be kept informed of news about the School we would also be delighted to hear from you.
