Mon 18th March
On Friday, Townsville Grammar School’s Prep students will be celebrating 100 days of learning this year at the North Shore Campus – the beginning step of their whole educational careers.
The five and six year old children will be dressing up as knowledgeable and wise 100 year olds to mark the occasion. The day will be filled with costumes of grey hair, walking frames, pearls and wrinkles to celebrate the students being 100 days smarter and having gained wisdom and embraced their love of learning.
The students will start their celebratory morning at 8:45am and participate in mathematical and problem solving tasks with the theme of 100. There will be 100 Cup Stack Challenge, Build 100 Challenge and groups of 10 challenge to demonstrate the teamwork skills the young students have gained over the course of their 100 days at Grammar.
At 10:00am, the students will cut the much-anticipated 100 Days Smarter Cake complete with 100 candles.
“The Prep students have grown so much in their 100 days at Grammar. I look forward to witnessing this celebration of 100 days of wisdom with the students and their teachers,” said Mr Timothy Kelly, School Principal.
