Hair, glorious hair!
Community service wears many different hats, and this week it will wear many different hair colours!
Townsville Grammar School students donned a wild array of coloured hair for its annual Funky Hair Day at its Junior Campuses (Annandale and North Shore), fundraising for local and international service endeavours.
At just the price of a gold coin donation, Pre-Prep to Year 6 students created their own funky hairdo at home or by Townsville Grammar School's own Community Service Committee using temporary spray hair colour to create exciting and fun new styles.
With many staff also getting into the spirit, the schoolyard was full with a crazy rainbow of colour! This is a great concept that teaches children the importance of community service, celebrates being different and shows that service and smiles can be easily combined.
