Mon 18th March
Townsville Grammar’s Rugby boys will be putting their pink socks on for this year’s Grammar@Home weekend on Saturday.
All rugby teams, from Under 8s to Under 17s will be donning pink socks in aid of the McGrath Foundation. The charity raises much needed funds for breast care nurses in communities around Australia, as well as increasing breast cancer awareness. The socks are also available for purchase for the visiting teams.
In addition to the charity pink socks, a signed Queensland Reds jersey has been donated by the Queensland Reds as a raffle prize on the day; this will be drawn during the halftime break of the U17 fixture.
The Grammar@Home weekend is the School’s official reunion weekend, and is an opportunity for the players to play in front of a home crowd of supporters and returning alumni. The School looks forward to welcoming teams and their supporters from other TDRU clubs: Brothers, Teachers West, Ross River and Charters Towers.
The day ‘kicks off’ with Grammar U12 versus Ross River at 11.00am on the Grammar School oval.
