Whilst most Townsville students are counting down this week towards School holidays, senior students at Townsville Grammar School are gearing up as they head towards their very first Townsville Grammar School Sony Foundation Children’s Holiday Camp, which will begin on Saturday 22 September.
The new Principal of Townsville Grammar School, Mr Timothy Kelly, has introduced the Camp to Grammar this year. Mr Kelly has co-ordinated 15 camps previously at both Toowoomba Grammar School and Churchie in Brisbane. The camp is partly financed by a grant from The Sony Foundation. The aim of the Camp is to provide a wonderful opportunity for 20 children with a disability to enjoy the weekend and to form connections in the wider community, with a secondary purpose of senior students from Townsville Grammar School gaining significant life experience as they care for their young guest.
