Zootopian games for Prep to Year 2 students

Herding cats and playing Elephant Soccer (with a Jumbo sized ball) are just a few of the fun activities in the Zootopia themed Infant Sports Carnival at Townsville Grammar School on this Friday (02 June)

The day will begin with an emu-sing stampede of zoo animals (Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students).  Students and their teachers put as much effort into their costumes for this parade as they do their competitions on the day! The animals on show are rumoured to include flamingos, giraffes, lions, penguins, elephants, crocodiles, zebras, tigers, peacocks and parrots.

The Zoo Keeper, aka Assistant Head of Junior School, Mr Chris Gray, will welcome all the animals. The students will then participate in the zoo activities, followed by feeding time at the zoo and a short sprint to end the morning – all while remaining in costume!

“The annual Infant Sports day is proving to be one of our most popular events on our sports calendar. It is such a fun way to introduce athletics to our younger children,”  enthused  Annandale Sports master, Leigh Fotheringham.
