QUT STEM Camp
31st August 2020
The Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Young Accelerators Program (formerly STEM for Schools) has been running since 2013 and is committed to inspiring the next generation of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) leaders.
The program provides high-achieving Year 11 students with an exciting opportunity to attend an interactive week-long camp (over the September school holidays), and engage in solving some of the major challenges facing our society and planet today. Participants will be involved in collaborative learning experiences alongside likeminded students and lecturers within QUT’s world-class facilities.
Given COVID-19 restrictions, only 100 students were offered positions in 2020.
We are very proud to announce that two Townsville Grammar School students have been selected amongst the best Science students in the state. Congratulations to Year 11 students Ciara Kavanagh (studying QCAA) Oliver Livingstone (studying IB) for their recent successful application.
