The Tempest - Now on Sale

Townsville Grammar School is proud to present a contemporary version of Shakespeare’s Fantasy, The Tempest.

One of Shakespeare’s last plays, The Tempest is based on the themes of  love, betrayal, revenge and family. It centres around the character Prospero, who seeks revenge on his sister for exiling him and his young daughter, twelve years before the events of the play. After finding refuge on a remote island, Prospero taught himself sorcery and now commands the spirits of the island. The play is filled with creatures, demons and magic.

Directed by Fiona Perry, Costuming by Jenni Ansic.
