Year 11 Townsville Grammar School student, Michael Carroll, has been awarded a Diploma with distinction from the Trinity College London – an exceptional achievement for a secondary school aged student, let alone one who is in Year 11.
The International Baccalaureate student, recently sat the ‘Cello diploma exam with Trinity College London, earning him the post-nominals, ATCL (Dist), - Associate of Trinity College London – this exceptional achievement is equivalent in standard to the first year of an undergraduate degree.
Trinity College London Diploma qualifications are recommended for students wanting to progress their mastery to a higher level in the areas of performance, teaching, theory or composition. The diploma is the most advanced performance award, taking musicians up to a professional standard of performance and musical understanding.
