Health Centre

The medical needs of boarders is met by the Registered Nurses who liaise with the School Doctor, and provide 7 days a week, 24 hour on call medical care in the School Health Centre. The School Doctor visits the Health Centre three times a week to attend to the boarder’s medical needs. Mrs Vanessa Saltmarsh is the Nurse in Charge  and ensures that she forms a strong relationship with all the boarders and their families.

Boarding parents will be required to complete a detailed Medical Form about the child. Please ensure this form is fully completed and returned to the School prior to your child commencing school. Any changes should be communicated to the Health Centre staff as soon as possible.

Boarding parents are encouraged to contact the nursing staff about all matters pertaining to their son’s or daughter’s health so that appropriate treatment or support can be given.

Medical and dental appointments should be made through the nursing staff to ensure that the nursing staff are aware of each boarder’s health needs and that appointments are not missed.

All medications, except asthma puffers, should be given to the Health Centre to be dispensed as required.

It is very important that all boarders have their own Medicare card. This should be handed to the Health Centre for safe keeping.

For more information about the Health Centre, please contact the Nurse in Charge, Vanessa Saltmarsh on 4722 4944.
