Weekend activities are organised for the Townsville Grammar School boarders who remain on campus. These activities vary from week to week and are designed to help develop the whole person in a safe and secure environment.

Boarders are the backbone of most Grammar sporting teams, and take the field in the Black and Gold during the week and on the weekends, to proudly represent their School in Rugby, Netball and Rowing.

In addition to School based activities, the boarding school and individual Boarding Houses organise a range of activities for boarders at the weekends. These activities may include Tenpin Bowling, movies, restaurant dinners, and trips to Magnetic Island and other local attractions, Indoor Sports Centre, shopping, picnics or a night out to cheer on our NRL Cowboys and many other activities. Due to staffing levels and security these organised activities are often compulsory for those in the Boarding House over the particular weekend.
