Junior School Curriculum

The Junior School aims to meet the particular needs of each child through a stimulating, supportive and creative learning environment.

All students in Year 1 - 6 study the following key curriculum areas:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Humanities and Social Science
  • Visual Arts
  • Technology

In addition, each class has weekly lessons with specialist staff in each of the following areas,  which creates a wonderfully stimulating learning environment.

  • STEM
  • Performing Arts 
  • Physical Education
  • Music +  Year 3 Strings
  • Library
  • Languages (French)

Junior School students from Year 5 are included in the annual academic awards program that acknowledges and celebrates both academic endeavour and achievement:

  • Pro Diligentia Awards (Years 5-12) presented in Term 2 and Term 4
  • Cum Laude Awards (Years 5-12) presented in Term 3
  • Speech Night  (Term 4)
