Dance provides opportunities for the development of physical, expressive, critical, imaginative, appreciative and perceptive abilities.

In a world increasingly driven by technology, we believe our students need creativity, passion and communication skills to stand out and be successful in every profession. At Townsville Grammar School we are proud to have an extensive Dance Program across all three campuses for students of all ages and abilities.

Senior Dance Program

Dance ensembles available at the North Ward Campus are as follows:

Grammar Gold: Performance group troupe for students in Years 10 – 12 (audition entry)
Grammar Black: Performance group troupe for students in Years 7 – 9 (audition entry)
Grammar Blue: Casual dance classes for any interested students in the styles of Jazz/Musical Theatre (Semester One) and Contemporary (Semester Two)

Junior School Dance Program

JUNIOR SCHOOL DANCE PROGRAM:

Dance ensembles available at both Junior School Campuses are as follows:

Junior Dance Black: for students in Years 1 – 3 who are selected to perform
Junior Dance Gold: for students in Years 4 – 6 who are selected to perform
Junior Dance Blue: a fun class for students from Years 1 – 6 to develop technical skills and build confidence
